Further supplement strategies for managing feelings and sensory needs as part of their social learning with these free, timely strategies and tools when using The Zones of Regulation to support individuals ages 5-18+. Using a cognitive behavior therapy approach, The Zones of Regulation learning activities are designed to help students recognize when they are in different emotional states called “Zones,” with each of four Zones represented by a different color. Students also learn how to use strategies or tools to stay in a Zone or move from one to another.

Learning to self-regulate our Zones is serious work that takes time and lots of practice.
